During this year’s
convocation ceremony, 88 Doctor of Medicine degrees
were conferred. In the graduating class there were
50 Nova Scotians, 13 New Brunswickers, 5 Prince
Edward Islanders, 13 Ontarians, 1 Quebecer, 2 British
Columbians, and 4 international students. Dr. Dan
MacDonald of Halifax was valedictorian.
Dr. Sean Ryan was awarded the Dr. C.B. Stewart Gold
Medal for highest standing in the regular medical
course. He also won the Dr.
Robert C. Dickson Prize in Medicine for highest
standing in medicine in all four years, the Dr.
Graham Gwyn Memorial Prize in Neurology for demonstrating
excellence in Neurology, the Dr. R.O. Jones Prize
in Psychiatry for highest standing in psychiatry
during the entire medical program, and the Lange
Book Prize for high achievement. |
