Dal Med Helps Turkey Modernize Doctor Training

A team from Dalhousie Medical School traveled to Ankara, Turkey in May, on a mission to help Gazi University’s Faculty of Medicine modernize its approach to training physicians.

International Medical Development and Research

We are pleased to announce that the University of Calgary,
Dalhousie and Mbarara University of Science and Technology (Uganda)
collaborative project Strengthening Child Health in Rural Uganda has
been awarded $1 million dollars through CIDA.

Lace Up for Step it Up

Most people average 3,000-5,000 steps a day in routine activity.
An extra 2,000 steps can help maintain body weight; 10,000 steps
per day can substantially improve health and reduce chronic disease risk.

Graduate Student Research Day

Faculty of Medicine graduate students held their annual
Research Day in mid-May. With the highest participation rate to date,
